South Placer Municipal Utility District (SPMUD) was experiencing very costly maintenance fees for their existing lift station in Placer County, California.

SPMUD chose Syblon Reid to perform this design-build delivery project, which involved designing and constructing a new facility, in addition to performing the abandonment of the existing lift station.

The Syblon Reid design-build team performed engineering, surveying, and design analysis to provide SPMUD with an effective gravity flow system and virtual elimination of future maintenance costs for this portion of their sewer system.

Technical aspects of the project included:

Rock blasting
Installation of approximately 1,290 lineal feet of 8" gravity sewer line
Installation of sewer manholes
Connection of new gravity line to existing line
Removal of existing pump station
