The Union Pacific Railroad had
an extensive tunnel cave-in, which required the replacement
of a major section of the existing tunnel cavity.
Syblon Reid cleaned out approximately 125 feet
of the existing structure. Then, new pipeline was placed inside,
encased and grouted. Portal structures were poured on both
ends of the tunnel for added support.
This project was completed in twenty-four calendar
days, two days ahead of the original contracted completion
date. Syblon Reid took careful measures to assess the overall
scope of this project and completed the repairs under budget.
Union Pacific Railroad was very pleased with Syblon
Reid's emergency response and timely completion of the project.
