Storm Drain, Pump Station and
Basin
|
This project consisted of excavating
500,000 cubic yards to construct a new storm water detention
basin. Syblon Reid performed the excavation without wells
or a pumped dewatering system, a first for this area. This
provided significant dewatering cost savings for Gateway West
and the City of Sacramento.

This project also involved a cast-in-place pump station
with four each 100 horse power pumps to discharge the storm water.
This project was evaluated, bid, and to some degree constructed
from preliminary drawings. Syblon Reid assisted the engineer in
developing the final drawings for the Sump 17 Detention Basin.
