Project required construction of detention basin while restoring 3 acres of riparian habitat. Construction of detention basis required construction of 1700LF of 25' high levee embankment. To draw water into the basin from an existing stream a 200' box culvert with weir structure and concrete spillway was attached to the existing structure under the roadway. Project also entailed construction of a recreation area including biking and hiking trails with a parking lot.


 
  • Dewatering of the basin
  • Subgrade was required
  • Up to 22 dewatering pumps placed and operated during construction
  • Project completed in two seasons
  • Coordination of SWPPP controls were required
  • Multiple agencies to adhere to environmental impact standards
