Phase 1A

This project for the Department of Water Resources involved cutting
and removing portions of existing Cottonwood Canal lining to construct
the new Cottonwood Canal Confluence. Work required extensive dewatering
operations and included the excavation, recompaction, and backfill
of over 25,000 cubic yards of material on around-the-clock operation.
This project required installation of 1,500 cubic yards of reinforced
shotcrete, an earthen cofferdam, and joint sealant and had a critical
outage schedule of 19 days. The 3 million dollar project was completed
two days ahead of schedule.
