Comstock Sewer/Bidwell Waterline
The work consisted of installation of control valves, pressure relief valves, combination air/vacuum valves, fire hydrants, new water meters and associated appurtenances with a new waterline intertie to the existing system. Also included was the transfer of water services to the new waterline and abandon of old water system facilities. Repair of existing manholes with covers, construction of several sewer laterals and implementation of bypass pumping needed to be done in conjunction with water line replacement. New curbs and gutters, driveway entrances, drainage swales, retaining walls and sidewalk completed the project work. The majority of the work was performed during night time hours to minimize traffic and public safety issues during the daylight hours.
