Syblon Reid Construction
Providing Solutions to difficult Projects

Napa Spring Mountain Road Viaduct

Under difficult contractual restrictions for hours of operation, working room, and time of year, Syblon Reid was chosen by Napa County to repair the east bound lane of Spring Mountain Road that was washed out in a landslide event.  Syblon Reid constructed a temporary shoring system using soldier piles, timber lagging, and tiebacks to support Spring Mountain Road and the one available lane during the construction of the steel viaduct.  Syblon Reid then proceeded to drill and set 10 H-piles for the foundation of a steel viaduct structure, erected the steel super structure, and constructed two wing-wall retaining walls all during the night in order to maintain access to the public during the day.
