Hazel Creek Mitigation
To accommodate Sly Park Lake with supplemental water from the Hydro-electric flume system, El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) contracted with Syblon Reid to grade an existing creek bed into a channel to facilitate higher flows to the reservoir. This remote two season project consisted of 2300 feet of channel that was lined with rip rap and/or fabric. The channel was realigned into a 25000 square foot wetland that was also constructed by Syblon Reid.
