Syblon Reid is Award Winner at 2010 AGC for Innovation in Construction Techniques or Materials
The Associated General Contractors of California (AGC-CA) honored six companies for outstanding projects constructed in the past year at the 23rd annual Awards Banquet which was held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on April 10, 2010. At this black tie event, Syblon Reid received the award for Innovation in Construction Techniques or Materials for the Flume 51 Project for El Dorado Irrigation Company near Pollock Pines, California.

In 2009, Syblon Reid replaced a 650-foot long elevated section of existing wooden flume in Pollock Pines, CA. The project was in a location with extremely limited access and steep terrain, and it required completion during a scheduled shut-down period in the late fall-early winter of 2009. Failure to complete the project on time would result in liquidated damages of up to $22,000 per day.
Syblon Reid's project management team, with the coordination of the Owner, Engineer, subcontractors and vendors, planned and safely executed this difficult job on time and within budget. This type of performance exemplifies what our company is known for, "Providing Solutions to Difficult Projects".
